Garden of Eva Salve is made with the finest ingredients.
All the herbs are purchased organic fresh or dried from reputable farms.
The essential oils are ordered for their pure quality and I only use organic virgin olive oil.
Though it might not be too tasty, one could eat this product with no harm.
As a liscenced and practicing aesthetician (paramedical skin care specialist) and a studied herbalist, I am familiar with the what and why these ingredients promote good skin health.
Our skin is the largest organ in the body. Our skin is affected by genetics, diet, exercise and environment. I have chosen ingredients that work together to help support the body and thus healthier skin.
A few examples:
-
Calendula blossoms-Though herbalists have known about these beautiful bright yellow blossoms for years they have become more well known to the general public in recent years and for good reason.
Calendula works inward/ lymphatically to heal the skin. Drawing toxins into the lymph system where they can be released from the body thru the bodies natural eliminatory system helps support the skin.
-
Plaintain-this plant is commonly looked at as a weed as people mow it over or pull it out of their yards.
Of course not wanting plantain that has had the family pet pee on it-I order from an herb farm.
However, the Native Americans harvested this plant along their travels as needed. Thought of like a bandaid, its long leaves were wrapped around the offended area to draw out toxins from the body.
-
Lavender-This fabulous essential oil is what I recommend if someone isnt familiar with essential oils and wants to start using them.
It is fabulous for stress, depression and amazing on the skin. One of the only essential oils that can be used neat (without a carrier oil) I have seen it completely heal 2nd and 3rd degree burns with no blistering.

Olive oil-Oils have different molecular structures. Some are smaller than others and are used to absorb more readily into the skin. Massage therapits will use oils that absorb so that one doesnt leave their session with a heavy greasy feeling.
Olive oil is a fat/ large molecule oil. Therefore it is used as a protective cover to the skin. Put the salve on your feet and then put your socks on to help chapped skin.
Use a Q-tip and dip into the salve-run around the inside nostril area to help soothe dried out nasal tissue.
This salve is fabulous for chapped hands, feet, lips. Its great for burns and abrasions (wait til puncture wounds have scabbed a bit before applying). Works wonders on hemmoroids and vaginal/penile irritations.
The salve is non toxic so it cannot be overused.
I use no preservatives or dyes so one should keep it in a cool place.
If the salve does get warm it will reharden again once its allowed to cool-Enjoy!
